SES’s last three O3b mPOWER satellites are at Cape Canaveral for a Falcon 9 ride into medium Earth orbit, and SpaceX has now posted an official window: Sunday, 13 September 2026, from Space Launch Complex 40.
This flight is a commercial communications launch for SES’s corporate and government customers, and not a competitor to SpaceX’s Starlink consumer broadband offerings. The lauch stack will contain the final three spacecraft in the O3b mPOWER constellation, headed for MEO on the SpaceX mpower-f mission page.
What Arrived Last Week
SES said on 2 September 2026 that the final three spacecraft in the O3b mPOWER constellation have reached the Cape. They are Boeing-built, high-throughput communications satellites, and after just 8 days, the hardware was fully processed and ready for loading onto a Falcon 9.

The satellites still need to be prepared at the Cape, then loaded and stacked on the rocket. With that work underway, SpaceX’s published window is what turns the Cape story into something readers can put on a calendar.
What O3b mPOWER Is For
O3b mPOWER is SES’s high-throughput network in medium Earth orbit, built for commercial and government connectivity rather than a consumer broadband shell. Ten of the satellites are already operational. These three new sats will join and complete that existing fleet.
More spacecraft in the same constellation adds network capacity and a spare path if a satellite is offline. For SES, this flight is a resiliency and capacity launch, which will help to keep the network online and capable even if an older sat goes down.
Launch Date Confirmed
SpaceX is targeting Sunday, 13 September 2026, with an 87-minute window that opens at 2:49 p.m. ET and runs through 4:16 p.m. ET (14:49–16:16 ET) from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. If the Sunday window turns out to be a miss, SpaceX lists a backup on Monday, 14 September, with the exact same window timings.
After stage separation, the first stage is planned to land on A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean. Exact T-0 inside the window is still unset as usual, and weather or range holds could slide the attempt into Monday without changing the published open and close.
