The launch expands Starlink’s presence in East Africa and gives households and businesses another option for internet access, particularly in areas where traditional broadband infrastructure is limited.

Check Coverage and Order

The Uganda storefront is now live with country-specific pricing, plan options and checkout. Coverage is listed across the country, although customers will still need a Starlink kit to connect to the service.

The ordering process follows the same basic setup used in other Starlink markets. Customers enter their service address to confirm availability, select a plan and purchase the required hardware. As of the launch, there are no Starlink authorized retailers in Uganda yet.

Household and standard business customers can order directly through the official storefront. For alternative options, Paratus and MTN Uganda added Starlink to their portfolios in late August, providing additional ways for existing customers to access Starlink services.

Kits, Plans and Roam

The Uganda portal lists two residential plans, a slower Residential 100 Mbps plan and a faster residential plan, with typical speeds of 135-305 Mbps according to Starlink. Hardware is billed separately, with both Standard and Mini kits listed as available.

Because Starlink pricing, inventory and plan terms are dynamic, the live country storefront remains the best source for current figures rather than an archived document or previously published pricing.

Starlink Roam is also supported in Uganda, allowing eligible travellers to use their service in the country. However, bringing an existing Starlink kit into Uganda does not bypass Starlink’s roaming restrictions. Customers travelling internationally remain subject to the company’s current rules governing how long a Roam subscription can operate outside its home country or region.

Customer support is handled through Starlink’s standard online contact system, with support available by email or phone.

Start on the Country Page

Actual performance will depend on factors such as the installation location, available view of the sky, network congestion and the selected plan. As with other Starlink markets, customers should also expect pricing, hardware availability and service terms to change over time.

For anyone in Uganda looking to sign up, the official storefront is the place to start. Enter the installation address, confirm that Starlink shows the location as available, and review the live plan and hardware options before checking out.

The September 1 launch means Ugandan customers no longer need to rely on availability estimates or waitlists. Starlink is now a live consumer service in the country, with direct ordering available today.
