There’s been a lot of news with Grok this week, but one takes the cake for functionality.
Grok Bot can now make phone calls for you. Musk said on Oct. 25 that a Bot can call a person or a business, make a request on your behalf and send you a summary of the conversation.
This week also made Grok Bot an Android assistant, put it on the iPhone’s Action Button, brought Grok 4.7 to the Viktor workplace agent and capped a SpaceX quarter in which Super Intelligence became the biggest segment.
Grok Bot Now Makes Phone Calls for You
Ask your Bot to call someone or a business, tell it what you need, and it places the call, makes the request, takes notes on the answer and sends you a written summary.
SpaceXSI has not said which countries it works in or what number the other side sees. Before this, Brian Roemmele shared a community Bot on Oct. 18 that books restaurant tables by phone through a third-party calling service.
Grok @Bot can now call someone or a business for you, make a request on your behalf, take notes on the response and send you a note summarizing the conversation!

This new integration now allows the same and even extended functionality without paying for a third-party service.
Grok Bot Becomes an Android Assistant
Android users can now pick Grok Bot in the phone’s “Default digital assistant app” setting, next to Google Gemini, so the assistant shortcut opens Grok Bot. The same update raises attachment limits to 250 MB per file and 1 GB per video, allows 20 attachments per message instead of six, and lets a Bot remember your last voice chat with it if you start a new one within 30 minutes.

On Oct. 22, Grok Bot also gained access to Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and other apps on your phone, rolling out on iOS and Android. This feature is still in early access, and hasn’t been enabled for all users yet.
SpaceXSI also launched the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network on Oct. 22 with Bain, Databricks, NVIDIA and Snowflake, and Grok Bot gained 1Password sign-in plus reports, memos and dashboards.
One Press on the iPhone Action Button
On Oct. 19, Grok Bot added support for the iPhone’s Action Button. Set it up once and a single press starts a voice chat with your Bot.

Users can simply open Settings, search for Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, tap Choose a Shortcut, search for Grok Bot, then tap Start Voice Chat.
