SpaceXAI Shows How to Run Multiple Grok Bot Teams

SpaceXAI has posted a new video on running multiple teams of Grok Bots. The clip posted on X shows a working pattern for keeping several agent projects from collapsing into one noisy chat: each project gets a channel, a roster, and a Notion board.

SpaceXAI has added a new video on running multiple teams of Grok Bots.

Each project gets a channel, a roster & a Notion board. A Projects Manager bot staffs Coder and Researcher, opens the room, writes the Notion row, and bots claim tasks.

Grok Bot is xAI’s system of persistent AI teammates that run on their own cloud computers. Users already spin up named Bots with jobs — Coder, Researcher, Writer — and message them from the desktop and iOS apps. The new video is about what happens when those Bots have to work on more than one project at once.

This new guide to workflows provides a walk-through video of how to tackle multiple side projects and tasks, similar to the recently published official Grok Bot Guides on xAI’s website.

It is a published workflow: an official Grok Bot Guide dated 27 August 2026, plus a walkthrough video the author calls an experimental pattern he is still trying.

One Project, One Channel, One Roster

A Projects Manager bot handles the meta work. It uses a Project Ops skill to create the project, open the room, staff Coder and Researcher from the existing bench, and write the Notion row. With those key Bots setup, they can share a channel and project, but will never work outside of that.

The guide sets up two Notion databases, Projects and Tasks. One project equals one channel in the sidebar, and that channel holds the team of bots plus the human. Staffing starts with reuse: pull a Coder, Researcher, Writer, or any other Bot already defined before starting on a new project. A new specialist is created only when nothing on the bench fits, and only after the human says yes.

Bots Claim Tasks and Work Autonomously

Once the channel exists, the human talks with the roster and scopes the work. The Projects Manager stays in the room, but mostly watches progress and keeps Notion current. This matches xAI’s official projects documentation on Grok Bot as well.

That means giving one Bot an end-to-end outcome, and adding more bots only where work requires a particular specialist skillset. Putting bots into a group chat is only needed where the handoff needs to be visible to the human in charge.

xAI’s collaborate docs say to start a group when several Bots need one shared outcome, then describe who owns the next step. In the video pattern, they also claim cards on the Notion board. When a bot gets stuck, it marks the task Blocked and pings the human in the channel. The rest of the time, the guide says, you can watch the cards move.

The most interesting piece of this is that it looks extremely familiar to systems built first for humans. A project or Kanban board, with a manager specialists, and tasks, all working towards one shared goal. For now, a Grok Bot subscription can have up to 50 Bots and Group chats combined, which means you can run several different major projects right from the get-go, and spin up new ones as needed.
